ARTIST: LINE JUHL HANSEN

I've noticed lately (and in all things), that I am loving soft and bright, pinks and yellows, black lines, grey splotches, affirmative text and clever graphics.
And if you can create a medium that combines all of those elements together, then you've got me.
Meet Danish Artist, Line Juhl Hansen.

Her website and blog are mostly in German, so it is hard to get background info on her methods and technique. But I love the colours - soft yet dramatic.
Her studio is also something to be admired; I could literally live in that space!
Simple. Beautiful. Colourful.

Line has an Etsy shop too. You can buy some of her limited edition prints and original artwork here.

UNI DAYS

I started back at uni last week to finally finish my degree in Communications.
I started in 2008 - (I know, right?!) and I am determined to finish this thing, once and for all!
I paused my study back in 2010 due to working full time/renovating/life got in the way.  Now I have time to put in a 100% gold star effort. Cant wait to get on with it & finish what I started!
Further study is cool.

GOOPY GWYN + CHRIS MARTIN'S L.A. HOME

Yes, this type of house exists; (mind the perfectly placed unicorns horses out front to greet you. Curious).

BUYERS: Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin
LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA (Brentwood)
PRICE: $10,450,000.00
SIZE: (approx.) 8,000 square feet, 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms.

Ive admired this house for a little while & only recently 'found' it all over again, looking through all of my old crap/inspo archives on my computer.
It really is a stunning home though. You would be mistaken if you thought you were on a fancy-pants ranch somewhere, and not in Brentwood L.A., which is why I think I like it so much.
If you're familiar with Gwynnie's style, then you'll guess that this house matches her taste & aesthetic perfectly. Classic, simple and definitively understated in the most lavish of ways.

I have so many wants in my life, and this is one of them.

GOING GINGHAM

I picked up a copy of the latest Vogue Living last week, but have been too busy to actually read it...
(How beautiful is the cover? Im such a sucker).

 However, last night I quickly flicked through and stopped at the sight of this amazingness;
I would be a little hesitant to go flat stick with squares, but this interior just works, no?

This house belongs to Sydney interior designer, Cameron Kimber, and from what I can gather, pulls off a timeless interior pretty well. In fact, I think I'm a fan.
Here is his beautifully furnished house, featured on the pages of VL this month.
